The three most popular world religions—Christianity, Islam, and Judaism—share a founding father, Abraham. They also share an appreciation for beauty, aesthetics, and the written word. This exhibition brings together ancient and modern relics from each monotheist religion. These include the earliest manuscript of the Hebrew Bible, first-century scrolls from the Dead Sea, and writings from medieval France. “This is the first time,” Laurent Héricher, one of the show’s curators, told The Art Newspaper, “that so many holy books and precious illuminated manuscripts will be gathered and exhibited in this region of the world.” Try not to miss the Nano Bible, which is the size of a grain of salt and contains 1.2 million letters, inscribed by nanotechnology. —Elena Clavarino
