Exploring the painting in its setting at the Belvedere Museum, in Vienna, Klimt & The Kiss presents interviews with scholars and curators who offer insight into the artist, his technique, and the continuing debates over his personal life. Through the prism of The Kiss, they discuss the artist’s complicated relationship with women: he had innumerable affairs while in a long-term romance with Emilie Flöge, a teenager he met in his late 20s. Following Klimt’s death, 14 people claimed to be his illegitimate children.
