A jukebox musical based on Alanis Morisette’s 1995 album is getting the Broadway treatment. Jagged Little Pill, which premiered in Boston last year, is written by Diablo Cody, who won an Oscar in 2007 for the screenplay of Juno. Cody tackles up-to-the-minute issues ranging from money to sex to trauma to addiction to race. Some early viewers complained that Cody threw in everything and the kitchen sink. Will this be too big a pill to swallow or will it go down smooth? —J.V.
