Frieze New York—now in its 12th edition—returns to the Shed for five days this May, with over 60 galleries coming together to celebrate the city’s creativity. Highlights include Focus—an initiative dedicated to emerging galleries—and a screening of Chella Man’s latest film, The Device That Turned Me Into A Cyborg Was Born The Same Year I Was. Up-and-coming galleries are hosting openings downtown, and there are after-show parties! Galleries to keep an eye on include Massimo de Carlo (from Milan), Kurimanzutto (from Mexico City), and White Cube (which is also hosting a talk with Antony Gormley.) Don’t miss Sterling Ruby at Gagosian. —Elena Clavarino
