Ono Kazushi, the Theatre’s artistic director of opera, has assembled an all-Russian team for a new production of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Eugene Onegin. Director Dmitry Bertman takes inspiration from the Onegin directed in 1922 by Konstantin Stanislavski, a naturalistic approach that was presented in the former ballroom of a grand old house in Moscow. Evgenia Muraveva sings Tatyana and Vasily Ladyuk is Onegin. —L.J.
