“I see life as a passageway, with no fixed beginning or destination,” the Korean artist Do Ho Suh said in 2017. “We tend to focus on the destination all the time and forget about the in-between spaces.” Suh recreates those transitory spaces, places he once called home—or spaces within the home—cladding fine steel frames with transparent polyester to create ghost houses in a single bright color. He also creates thread drawings, architectural rubbings, and watercolors that explore similar themes. This exhibition sees Suh exploring, in a number of mediums, his past, present, and future. —Elena Clavarino
