Instead of building onstage recreations of the streets and restaurants that Andy Warhol frequented in the 1950s and 60s, Chasing Andy Warhol takes viewers directly to the artist’s old haunts. The immersive experience is organized by Bated Breath, a participatory theater company that’s moved outdoors to present pandemic-friendly shows. Its latest is part play (with music, dance, a cast of 20, and puppets) and part East Village walking tour. For 90 minutes, guests will experience Warhol’s stomping ground while the cast re-enacts moments from the artist’s East Village days. —Jensen Davis
