How to find a balance within chaos? The award-winning French artist Camille Henrot likes to confront existential questions in her drawings, paintings, frescos, and bronze sculptures. She once chose the phrase “Is it possible to be revolutionary and still like flowers?” for one of her projects, saying it was another way of asking, “Why should formal elegance and a basis in theory be opposed?” In Antwerp, Henrot explores the difficult topics of the postpartum body and the liquid connection between mother and child. —Elena Clavarino
