“There is something very majestic about the Kunsthaus, it made me feel like I was floating on the clouds.” The moment that artist Bunny Rogers set foot on the grey concrete grounds of the museum, she knew immediately it would be the perfect place to lay out her mournful installations. Inspired by American funerals, Rogers’s “Kind Kingdom” is comprised of strange wakes, roses cast in concrete, a stretch of littered green lawn, blue-black light. “Objective art is impossible,” says Rogers. Here she sees through a glass darkly. —E.C.
