Before the Jamaican reggae singer Bob Marley died (from skin cancer at just 36), he said “I don’t believe in death, neither in flesh nor in spirit.” An immersive exhibition of his life and music, which debuts at Saatchi Gallery before it travels around the world, is inspired by this sentiment. With photos of Marley, some never made public before, and memorabilia from his days before and during stardom, the exhibition guides attendees through his life. It also includes a “One Love Forest” (a marijuana-inspired room with green-tinted lights, smoke, and beanbag chairs); a gallery of artwork inspired by the singer; and the “Soul Shakedown Studio,” a room in which to listen to Marley’s musical catalogue. —Jensen Davis
