“Growing up as a kid, we were not allowed to say ‘can’t.’ We were not allowed to say ‘hate.’” Baritone Kenneth Overton, acclaimed for his portrayal of Porgy in George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, as well as myriad other major roles, has launched the weekly chat show “Black Opera Live.” With black stars of classical music he talks voice, performance, and life onstage and off. Guests include Laquita Mitchell, Errin Brooks, Chauncey Packer, John Holiday, Sidney Outlaw, Jasmine Habersham, Reginald Smith Jr., Adrienne Danrich, Kevin Short, and Marsha Thompson. On Mondays at seven P.M. E.S.T. —L.J.
