James Graham’s new play Best of Enemies—which The New York Times called a “theatrical gem”—is headed to the World Wide Web, with four performances streaming live on the Young Vic’s Web site from January 20 to 22. The play reimagines Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley’s scorched-earth debates at the 1968 Democratic and Republican national conventions, in which such caustic salvos as “the only crypto-Nazi I can think of is yourself” and “now listen, you queer, I’ll sock you in your goddam face and you’ll stay plastered” were hurled around ABC’s studios to the delight and horror of the dueling duo’s 10 million primetime viewers. The Young Vic’s “immersive multi-camera player” allows viewers to switch between camera angles during the performances, a cherry on top for the cinephiles among us. —Matt Kapp
