Dating stories are great fun to tell—and to hear. There are those with happy endings, which give everyone a little more hope. And those with terrible ones, which make for a good laugh. That’s partly why Becky Shaw, Gina Gionfriddo’s play about a blind date that goes horribly wrong, was so well received when it made its Off Broadway debut at Second Stage, in 2008. The play now brings those same tensions between love and sex, dos and don’ts, to its Broadway premiere. Patrick Ball, Madeline Brewer, Alden Ehrenreich, Linda Emond, and Lauren Patten star. Trip Cullman directs. —Jeanne Malle
