In Bryna Turner’s latest play, a drunk and bitter woman named Carlo half-crashes her ex-girlfriend’s wedding. Played by Mary Wiseman, “with her curly red mop piled high like a lesbian Lucy” (per The New York Times), Carlo misbehaves for 70 minutes. She tells the children’s table that romance is “the worst pain you’ll feel in your life,” provokes the ire of the bridesmaid, and is pursued by the groom’s brother. Off Broadway veteran Jenna Worsham directs this premiere production. —Jensen Davis
