What would a just world look like? That is the question posed by Hank Willis Thomas and For Freedoms, a contemporary artist collective that he co-founded. Thomas, born in 1976, is an American multimedia artist who explores identity, freedom, and culture. For Freedoms, founded in 2016, is an organization of artists and thinkers who seek to promote civic engagement and direct action. The group includes Jefferey Gibson, Pamela Council, Eric Gottesman and many others. Their works—large, confrontational, and inherently political—can be seen indoors and outdoors at the Parrish Art Museum. —Thalia Bonas
