A Tribute to Peace: North Texas Welcomes Kyiv City Ballet

Olga Posternak, performing with the Kyiv City Ballet.

October 3, 2022
525 Commerce St, Fort Worth, TX 76102, United States

Vaslav Nijinsky, Serge Lifar, Svetlana Zakharova, Irina Dvorovenko, Sergei Polunin—Ukrainian dancers have been lighting up the ballet stage for over a century. With Russia’s cruel and gratuitous attack on Ukraine still raging, it’s time to wrap oneself in blue and yellow for an evening with the Kyiv City Ballet. The company travels the U.S. through October 26, and in Fort Worth the evening will feature excerpts from the classical ballets Don Quixote and La Bayadère, the Paquita pas de deux, and Men of Kyiv, a Ukrainian folk dance. —Laura Jacobs
