Located very near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Head Hi is a neighborhood shop for coffee, art, and literature that offers “a curated selection of publications from around the globe.” It now has a new home of 1,400 square feet, ample space for its 4th Head Hi Annual Lamp Show. On opening day this year, the line numbered hundreds and went around the block. There are a lot more “lampers” out there than you’d think. The pieces on view come from industrial designers, craftspeople, and those who tinker at home; they cost from three to five figures. These are illuminated—and illuminating—objects. —Laura Jacobs
