David Mallett Conditioning Mist
The difference between decent hair and really decent hair comes down to a little extra effort and a product or two. And most of the time, I’m sorry to say, I don’t bother with either. But, since I’ve added David Mallett’s new Conditioning Mist to my morning routine, things have improved significantly. I spray the lightweight detangling, protecting, leave-in conditioner from my mid-lengths to the ends and proceed to blow-dry as usual. In a few minutes, I’m greeted with shinier, softer, less frayed hair and the impression that I actually tried. It’s the little things. ($65, david-mallett.com) —Linda Wells

Lancôme Mascara Melter
Has anyone ever said I can’t wait to remove my makeup? Not me. It’s a tedium that must be endured, even when I’m dog-tired. And yet, I can double cleanse my heart out and still end up looking like a boxer the next morning with mascara smudges under my eyes. Lancôme has a solution, one that’s remarkably simple and unlike anything I’ve seen before. They’ve taken a mascara wand and filled the tube with remover instead of pigment. You brush the Mascara Melter onto your lashes, let it sit for a minute, and then gently wipe it off with a soft cloth. The solution also contains jojoba oil and squalane to condition lashes, which actually helps keep them from breaking. Now I can actually say in all honesty that I can’t wait to remove my makeup.
