Around the time that Paris Hilton brought “that’s hot” to the world, Close-Up toothpaste turned up the temperature in its 2005 ad for the bright red, cinnamon-flavored toothpaste. When toothpaste ads weren’t focusing on cavities, tartar, and coffee stains, they were happy to address pure, steamy lust. Ultra Brite promised to “give your mouth sex appeal” in the 1960s and 70s with a rotating cast of models, including Cheryl Tiegs and Farrah Fawcett. This couple goes one step further, testing the power of the mouthwash in Close-Up. Looks like it’s working. —Linda Wells
