Wolfgang Tillmans, in his 11th exhibition with Maureen Paley Gallery, seeks to illuminate the idea that creation is really just transformation. In other words, nothing comes from nothing—everything comes from something. The show marks the opening of Maureen Paley’s newest venue in London—at 4 Herald Street—and it’s no coincidence that the space was Tillmans’s former studio before he shifted to Berlin in 2011. “Build From Here” includes new photographic designs by Tillmans, along with photocopy and video projects. —Henry McGrath
