Vikingur Ólafsson’s self-containment is stunning. In his round-rimmed glasses he looks more like a mathematician than a concert pianist. He keeps his body quiet, but his hands are lordly and long-fingered, sovereign over the keyboard. He’s been called “Iceland’s Glenn Gould,” and the purity of his playing is gorgeous. Here in Hong Kong, Ólafsson performs Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The program also includes the Fidelio Overture and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, Eroica. Jaap van Zweden conducts. —L.J.
