There’s no dearth of Picasso works on display. There is, however, a selection of Picasso prints that have rarely been shown. Displaying 16 infrequently exhibited etchings, lithographs, and linocuts—some of the artist’s preferred modes for experimentation—Norton Simon offers a glimpse of exploratory works dating from the 1930s to the 1960s. Although artists often produce multiples of a print, this exhibit features a special one-of-a-kind impression: a proof of Picasso’s 1946 lithograph Two Nude Women, executed in red. —J.D.
