“The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years,” said Iris Apfel. “There’s no how-to road map to style.” The treasures of a century spent perfecting her vibrant aesthetic are soon to be auctioned off at Christie’s. From floral bergères and a Victorian birdcage to vintage Christian Dior, Norman Norell, and Geoffrey Beene, Apfel’s style may be her very own, but at least you can now have a piece of it. The collection would not be complete without a rainbow of oversized glasses and chunky bangles, of which there are many. Highlights will be on view and open to the public in Miami, Palm Beach, and Manhattan between January 24 and February 12, in conjunction with online bidding. —Lucy Horowitz
