Antonio Signorini’s traveling exhibition, “The Warriors,” was inspired by Paleolithic paintings. “Cave drawings are like the childhood of the world,” Antonio has said. “They are abstract and also real at the same time.” Composed in bronze alloy, mounted on marble blocks, these seven full-size figures—armed with bows and spears—are the slinky, inky black of silhouettes, yet fully dimensional and strangely alive. They seem to have escaped from a long lost island in Greek myth. —L.J.
