Just a year after The Handmaid’s Tale concluded its sixth and final season, Hulu is bringing viewers back to Gilead. The new series, also developed by Bruce Miller, is adapted from Margaret Atwood’s 2019 sequel, The Testaments, and takes place several years after the events of the final season. Chase Infiniti, the breakout actress from One Battle After Another, stars as Offred’s teenage daughter, Agnes, who’s been brought up by a high-ranking Gilead commander and his wife. At Agnes’s prep school, run by the tyrannical Aunt Lydia, the arrival of a new student from the heathen lands of Toronto soon leads Agnes to question the system in which she was raised. —Paulina Prosnitz
