The Brian Jonestown Massacre is one the coolest and realest old-school rock bands. I’ve seen them live twice—at Webster Hall and Brooklyn Steel—and both performances were electric. Filled with arguments, little malfunctions, and pauses, yes, but still electric. You can never quite tell how they’re feeling or what they’re thinking, only that they’re engulfed in the music they’re performing. The band has a new single out this year, which is exciting. Their previous album, The Future Is Your Past, dates to 2023. So along with the oldies, there will be heaps of new songs at the shows. Teragram Ballroom is in for a fun doubleheader. —Henry McGrath
