If you haven’t already heard, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel have a podcast together, and it’s full of lightning-strike sound effects, shop talk, vasectomy stories, and basically everything else you could hope for in a podcast manned by some of the biggest names in the comedy world. The five hosts created Strike Force Five as a way to support their out-of-work staff during the WGA strike. Without the help of production support, fact-checkers, and of course, writers, the podcast has a somewhat rambling start. As Meyers says in the first episode, “I think you’re really going to feel their absence while you listen to the five of us talk without their help.” But by the second episode, the fat has been trimmed and the undeniable comic chemistry of the group shines through. Meaty bits include “Everyone name the ex-girlfriend they shouldn’t text right now!” and Jon Stewart’s cameo in Episode Seven. —Paulina Prosnitz
