Sombr is a big player on the scene these days. I just discovered him last week and all of a sudden it feels like he’s everywhere I look. Many consider his music poppy, and it is, but I think it’s cool, containing a nice mix of the indie rock sound. Sombr’s debut album, I Barely Know Her, came out this year—it includes the songs “back to friends” and “undressed”—and he’s fresh off a killer performance at the VMAs. It’s always nice to see a new face on the scene, especially one as upbeat as Sombr’s. Go get a sense of this guy for yourself—he’s well on his way to becoming a household name. —Henry McGrath
