Sex and Consequences

Streaming on Dice

Isabella Rossellini’s 2008 film series, Green Porno, is exactly what it sounds like. Conceived, written, and directed by its star, the series—which aired on the Sundance Channel and saw Rossellini enacting the mating rituals of bees, shrimp, and spiders—aimed to celebrate the diversity and magic of natural life. Now the filmmaker is launching a sequel to Green Porno, directed by Paul Magid and streaming live from Rossellini’s Long Island farm. Where the first series worked with cardboard cutouts and foam-rubber sculptures, Sex and Consequences features the real deal: the sheep, dogs, and chickens that call Rossellini’s six-acre property home. —J.V.
