The Salone del Mobile, Milan’s most anticipated annual event, welcomes 2,000 exhibitors to the city to showcase the latest in furniture design. Highlights include Paolo Sorrentino’s waiting room, La Dolce Attesa, which reimagines the concept of waiting as a serene experience. There’s a Pierre-Yves Rochon installation called Villa Héritage—a full-scale neoclassical residence built inside the fair, complete with parquet floors, silk-covered walls, and mirrored hallways. After you’ve visited the fair itself, the fuorisalone (the fair’s satellite events) features the exciting Prada Frames symposium, as well as shows at Nilufar gallery, Alcova, Dimoregallery, and the renowned Rossana Orlandi. —Elena Clavarino
