After creating feel-good triumphs like Ted Lasso and Shrinking, Bill Lawrence, along with his regular partner Matt Tarses, has enlisted the comedy stalwart Steve Carrell to tell the story of a father-daughter relationship set at an East Coast liberal arts college. Carrell stars as a best-selling author, nicknamed “Rooster,” who becomes a guest lecturer at the university where his daughter (Charly Clive) and her husband (Phil Dunster) are professors.
