What if Romeo and Juliet had lived today? That is the question the choreographer Benjamin Millepied asks as he revisits Shakespeare’s drama, bringing a bold spin to Profokiev’s classic score. The setting is contemporary Los Angeles, and a unique projection system allows the performers to float between screen and stage.
