Known for her exploration of geometric forms, Rana Begum, a British-Bangladeshi artist, works with hard metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and copper, and also with mesh, baskets, and wood. Space and architecture are an abiding interest. A winner of the 2017 Abraaj Prize at ArtDubai, Begum’s play with form, especially folds and bars, as well as color, has garnered her a significant following. This latest show has her using spray paint on different materials.
