Lydia Lunch has been creating and performing transgressive art since the 1970s. Back then she was the front person of the no-wave group Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. Since then Lunch has continued to perform as a musician, poet, and visual artist. She’s collaborated with Sonic Youth, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Nels Cline, and is lately the bandleader of Retrovirus, an abrasive punk band that features an “all-star cast of sonic brutarians.” Retrovirus will take the stage at TV Eye in Ridgewood, Queens, for an evening of genre-defying head bangers. —Sophie Kemp
