Now living in Berlin, the Portuguese artist Leonor Antunes creates works that hover between disciplines and pay homage to modern masters. As the critic Jenny Gheith has written, Antunes “carries ghosts with her. Spirits of artists, designers and architects she admires wander from exhibition to exhibition, object to object.” Antunes, who began her career in the late 80s with a fine arts degree from the University of Lisbon, is known for making sculptural installations. This exhibition features a ceramics installation as well as sculptures that take inspiration from the legendary designers Charlotte Perriand and Michiko Yamawaki. —Elena Clavarino
