The fourth edition of the Lake Como Design Festival will take place across Como’s historic town center, lakefront, and in grand residences like the neoclassical Villa Gallia and the timeless Palazzo Broletto, where the latest in design should find a vibrant context. The theme of this year’s festival is Neo-nomadism, a term that refers to modern society’s movement between physical and digital realms. Last year, works by Gio Ponti, Charlotte Perriand, Alvar Aalto, and Gino Sarfatti graced the valley. This year, highlights include the opening of Casa Bianca, a historic residence with views on the water, not to mention talks and panel discussions by industry leaders. —Elena Clavarino
