Vaslav Nijinsky, Serge Lifar, Svetlana Zakharova, Irina Dvorovenko, Sergei Polunin—Ukrainian dancers have been lighting up the ballet stage for over a century. With Russia’s cruel and gratuitous attack on Ukraine still raging, it’s time to wrap oneself in blue and yellow for an evening with the Kyiv City Ballet. The company travels the U.S. from September 16 to October 26, and the 15-city tour begins in Wilmington, North Carolina—one performance only. The program includes excerpts from Swan Lake and Carmen, along with the Ukrainian folk dance Men of Kyiv. —Laura Jacobs
