Until Jan 5, 2025
201 E Capitol St SE, Washington, DC 20003

Book enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Two Ohio-based rare book and manuscript collectors, Stuart and Mimi Rose, are offering an exclusive glimpse into their private library. There is something for everyone among the 52 works on display, which range from science and philosophy to literature and history. Highlights include an Egyptian Book of the Dead from the first century B.C.E., corrected page proofs of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, and a segment of the Apollo 11 flight plan used by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. An illustrated 272-page catalogue is available at the exhibition. —Jeanne Malle
