It looks as though Hitler humor has established a foothold in both film and theater. There was the 2019 release of the comedy-drama film Jojo Rabbit, nominated for several Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Now, following a sold-out run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a dark comedy about Hitler’s food tasters premieres in California. Based on historical events, the production follows the lives of these young German women to ask questions about sexuality and patriotism. —J.V.
