Fatboy Slim, a D.J. renowned for hits like “Praise You,” is doing a 14-hour set at Knockdown Center. He works with samples and the Big Beat genre that made a name for itself in the 90s, taking snippets from songs like Camille Yarbrough’s “Take Yo Praise” and introducing them to other snippets, such as a brief piano riff from “Balance and Rehearsal” off the JBL Sessions LP. Lay the combination over a breakbeat and it often leads to a danceable and catchy result. At 61, the man’s still got it, and he will undoubtedly get creative with a set this long. It starts at three P.M., so if you want to do some daytime dancing and be home for dinner, that’s an option. If you want to watch the sunrise, that’s an option too. —Henry McGrath
