Industrial farming has not only ravaged soil, polluted the air, and helped crack the ozone, it has also threatened the livelihoods of farm families across the U.S., thanks to higher cost equipment, increased reliance on corporate distributors, and land depletion. For the past 35 years, Farm Aid has held an annual benefit concert to help agricultural workers imperiled by the demands of large-scale duo-crop farming. The show will be held online this year, but a stellar lineup remains, including some star performers who serve on the charity’s board: Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews. If that’s not enough for you, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, and Chris Stapleton will be turning up to support American agriculture. —C.J.F.
