Those who grew up in the 1990s may remember Clone High, the popular MTV series featuring a high school filled with historical figures—think Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc. The show has been a touchstone for the American artist Bunny Rogers, who adopted Joan of Arc as her alter ego. Rogers likes animation. She is drawn to the polished surfaces of digital bodies, and thinks about the ways they affect our perception of reality. In Rogers’s “Ms. Agony,” multimedia works explore loss, alienation, and community. —E.C.
