Band Of Horses Live

June 21, 2025
4746 N. Racine Avenue, Chicago, IL 60640, United States

In Seattle, Washington, in 2004, Ben Bridwell formed the indie rock group Band Of Horses. The band has cycled through several lineup changes over the years and Bridwell is the only remaining original member of the project. The first album, Everything All The Time, came out in 2006 and made a statement that Band of Horses was here to make anthemic, stadium rock songs filled with raw emotion. Pitchfork called it “an album that’s easy to get lost in and even easier to love.” You may know “The Funeral” or “The Great Salt Lake.” One year later came Cease To Begin, and since then Band of Horses has released six more albums, the most recent, Acoustic At The Ryman Vol. 2 (Live), as of last year. This year, Gryffin, the well-known musician and D.J., put out a remix of “The Funeral,” which is Band Of Horses’ most popular song. Surely it will lead unfamiliar electronic music lovers to this concert in Chicago. —Henry McGrath
