Who doesn’t love the rustle of green leaves in a summer breeze? Or a storm that whips the boughs and makes trees dance? Glenn Kaino, an American artist born in 1972 in Los Angeles, invites us into an ecletic, immersive experience of nature. Working with a collective of creatives, Kaino has formulated a response to essays on the natural world that have appeared over decades in the esteemed monthly magazine The Atlantic. The interactive, multisensory installation takes place in a 28,000-foot space in L.A., and encourages us to reimagine our relationship with the environment. —Thalia Bonas
