In the small German town of Goch, a Monastery from the 12th century sits on acres of green grass, adjacent to streams. This is the setting of the Gardens of Babylon festival, a four-day celebration of music, spirituality, art, and humanity. You can bop to electronic dance music or ride the waves of hypnotic ambient techno. Workshops cover topics ranging from ceramics to human sexuality, and meditation is led by the festival’s onsite Spiritual Guide. While Babylon lifts you to a higher mental plane, be prepared to camp out on the ground. —C.J.F.
