Feeling bereft now that Game of Thrones has ended? Head to the Met and move on to armor of the early Renaissance. This exhibition looks at the significance of metal raiments through the eyes of Maximilian I, the Holy Roman Emperor from 1508 until his death in 1519, 500 years ago. Maximilian loved the knightly ideals embodied by sumptuous coats of armor, which he collected as art. More than 180 objects come from private collections in Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. —L.J.
