Jason Segel is a teddy bear of a man who can play endearing and naive just as well as he can play sharply witty and self-destructive. As Jimmy Laird in Apple TV’s hit comedy series, Shrinking, he’s all those things. A recently widowed father with a drinking (and partying) problem, Jimmy is also a therapist—a good one. He cares too much and gives even more. Jimmy’s friends tend to be colleagues— fellow therapists played by Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams.
