The Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, born in 1944, has traveled across 120 countries. He’s photographed seals at rest in the Arctic, the snowy peaks of the Andes, and the silhouettes of men in canoes in the tropics. Some of his best work is done close to home, in the Amazon, where he’s explored rivers and mountains, and befriended Indigenous inhabitants. In this exhibition, 200 images immerse the audience in a forest universe. A sound installation created by Jean-Michel Jarre accompanies the photographs. —Elena Clavarino
