It’s hard to know which delight to focus on in Season Three of Hulu’s capering dark comedy Only Murders in the Building. Along with the return of its unlikely central trio—Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez—the show introduces new characters played by Meryl Streep, Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris). Streep, predictably, is the anchor. As Loretta Durkin, a whimsical, wannabe actress who’s finally had her big break, Streep is masterful in performing both the comedic and possibly sinister facets of her character. Paul Rudd, who was introduced at the end of Season Two, returns as the “Cobro,” an exquisitely obnoxious Hollywood star whose murder sets the stage for this season’s mystery. Tune in for the sheer pleasure of watching Rudd, Streep, and Gomez share the screen. —Paulina Prosnitz
