NYC Jewelry Week 2020

Nov 16–22, 2020

Consider the sprawling roster of NYC Jewelry Week’s 80 events, complete with sound-bath meditations, workshop sessions, and restorative yoga, and it may feel like a program from a bygone—coronavirus-free—era. Taking place over seven days and, for the first time, remotely, the program features talks on Renaissance bling (Wednesday), the ideal jewelry library (also Wednesday, and moderated by AIR MAIL contributor Ruth Peltason), the magic of stones (Friday, and moderated by AIR MAIL contributor Carol Woolton), and Imperial Russian jewelry (also Friday). Participants include designers Lisa Eisner and Lucrezia Bucellati (Thursday), and gem artist John Hatleberg, considered the world’s best diamond counterfeiter (Saturday). —J.V.
